The problem here, of course, is that the course is a cumbersome thick printout that will make the most determined parent question why they even bothered.
Fortunately there is an alternative. A Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) approved online Texas driver education course, certified as course #107. This course can be taken online, or via a 3 CD-ROM set, in the comfort of your home in your own time.
In Texas, there are many rural areas across the state where traditional driver education courses are simply not available. However, the state requires teens to complete a state approved course in order to receive their drivers license before the age of 18. This Texas drivers ed course solves that problem. Here's how it works. At age 15, you can apply for your Texas learners permit. After completing the first six hours of the course, being 15 years old, passing a vision test and other state requirements (i.e. enrollment in school), you can take the written exam for your learners permit.
